Paul Maddern is a poet and teacher. Born and raised in Bermuda, Paul lived in Canada, the USA and England before moving to Northern Ireland in 2000. He has taught at the Seamus Heaney Centre for Poetry, where he established the Heaney Centre Digital Archive. He currently teaches at the University of Leeds. In 2009 he won the Templar Poetry Pamphlet Prize. with his book Kelpdings. He was also shortlisted for the 2011 Eithne Strong Award.
He was recently awarded the The Cecile N. Musson Prize for Poetry for his collection, The Beachcomber’s Report .
